Step 2 - Creating a free blog

So, now that you have a google account setup, you can create your very own blog for free. You may be asking yourself, "Why do I need a blog?". A blog is a wonderful tool and a necessity. First of all, it's free. Secondly, it provides you with a space where you can get the word out about your product or cause.

Don't have a product? Don't worry, I will show you how to get products to sell without having to: buy inventory, store inventory or even ship the sold goods, and it's completely free! Believe me, I was skeptical at first. My brother kept telling me about this discovery he made and I kept telling him, "It's a scam". Well, as much as it hurts to admit, I was wrong. In fact, once you have your blog setup and have done your due diligence in the way of setting up accounts with the companies you are going to promote, your blog can be making you money while you are at the beach. That's right - while you're sipping margaritas by the sea momacita. It's that lifestyle I was mentioning before. You know, the one where you're the boss. The one where you have time to travel, shop or sleep all day if you prefer. Your online business, if you can even call it that, basically works on autopilot with an input of maybe 2 hours a day to keep things fresh.

I personally have severe anxiety so working from home is ideal for me. With also having agoraphobia, even leaving my house can be challenging at times. This lifelong struggle has pushed me to delve into the unknown and find a way to work from home. Other people are doing it and making very good livings. WE CAN TOO!

Before we get carried away though, first things first. You need to get your free blog up and running. The blog that you're reading right now took me about two hours to set up, but remember, I am not very tech savvy so you may be able to accomplish this much quicker.

I am a visual learner, like so many of us are, so I thought it would be helpful to provide you with a video I created on How To Create a Blog for Free. It's about 10 minutes long and just may save you a boat load of time in trying to figure it out yourself. I've learned that a little homework can go a long way so Check it out!

My next post will cover brainstorming ideas for the main niche of your blog and I'll show you how to research and pick a topic that thousands of internet users are searching for every month. You don't want to miss this!

How to get started - Step 1

Okay, so lets begin our journey!

Start by creating a google account if you don't already have one. Don't know if you have one? If you do, you will have an email account ending with gmail.com. This specific email account is a necessity as we are going to need this account to utilize various avenues of income generation in the near future.

hello new site

Embarking on a new journey, a journey to an unknown territory, can be exciting, but it can also be frustrating if you don't know what you're doing. For example, I'm so far behind the times that I actually just opened a Facebook account last week. I know, I've been living in the stone age, and I found the entire process to be very aggrevating and not at all user friendly. Obviously, I'm not real tech savvy, but I plan on changing that. I would like to welcome you to follow me as I go from virtually no technological background to making a complete living online.

A little about me, I am a single mom of two young children and I currently have no source of income. I recently graduated from the University of Florida with a  Life Science degree and my children and I are living off the remainder of a loan I received my last semester. We have a little less than $1,000 to our names and receive no child support. I feel fortunate that I do have the knowledge and skills to go out into the world and acquire a "real job" if it comes to that, but wouldn't it be nice to work from home, to live the American dream? I want to enjoy my children while they are still young.

As a past laser hair removal clinic and school owner, I have experienced the freedom of being my own boss, the freedom of working when I choose, taking time off for vacations when I felt the need and homeschooling my son. I long to have that freedom again. Life is so short and time is so precious. We should strive everyday to maximize our happiness and for me, that means being home with my family.

I am now setting out to SHOW YOU, that this lifestyle is achievable for anyone who is willing to put in the time and maybe learn a new thing or two. I will walk you through what I do, step by step, from start to finish including no holds barred updates on my financial situation along the way. Feel free to take this journey alongside me and let me know, as we move forward, about your successes, or any questions you may have by commenting here at my blog or through Facebook.
